Rachel Kente, Acting Director of MIA Establishments, introduced the company as a distribution and wholesale hub bringing together Uganda’s best manufacturers and agricultural producers.
“MIA is a combination of different minds and companies under one roof to provide the best services,” Kente said. “We see ourselves as the link between farmers, manufacturers, and consumers.”
Showcasing Uganda’s Manufacturing Power
The MIA showroom features a wide range of home and agricultural products, including:
- Tiles from Goodwill Ceramics
- Sinks and fittings from Sour
- Blankets, shirts, pants, and diapers
- Fridges, washing machines, and household appliances
Kente urged Ugandans to support locally made goods, emphasizing that the initiative aligns with the Buy Uganda, Build Uganda (BUBU) policy.
Connecting Gulu to the National Supply Chain
MIA’s expansion to Gulu marks a key step in decentralizing industrial distribution — linking Kapeeka Industrial Park and other manufacturing zones directly to consumers in Northern Uganda.
